My first irreplaceable experience

I was nerves and anxiety everything because I have never gone abroad and ridden the airplane. But I forgot everything while I spent enjoying with my friends and host family.
My host family took me many places even while host family was busy. Especially I impression thing is supermarket. I looked many products were lined up in host family called the supermarket small. I surprised at cash register that the products moves automatically when I put the products on the table. And put a rod like magnet when I want to separate from previous person. That way don't need bring product all of the time, I wish we had it way in japan.
My two host family allowed me to eat Japanese food caring about me was delighted for me. I ate various food such as Mexican food, foreign cuisine is taste stronger than Japanese food and I know American foods have many spicy or very sweet foods. Many Japanese always drink a tea but American drink first rank is water, second rank is coke, third rank is iced tea. Water is put over more than 30 plastic bottles of water in a house. I usually drink water so I was anxious overseas water but I got used to it.
I watched a movie with host family. We didn't go to generally theater but went to outside theater. There has a big sign with nothing written and children playing until dark in front of the sign. Many cars came in as it got darker, everyone sit in the chair and on the car. We can see the lion king before on roadshow in japan. Host family said that outside theater is near the mountain and cheaper than inside theater . I want to make outside theater in japan.
I spent fulfilling life that I can do many things which I cannot do in japan and the people of Kansas City were kind to me. I heartily tank you for host family and international people, my family. My dream is I visit Kansas City someday again.
初めてのかけがえのない体験

私は、飛行機に乗ることや海外に行くことが初めてで何もかもが緊張して不安でした。しかし、訪問団のみんなやホストファミリーと楽しく過ごすうちに不安も何もかも忘れていました。
ホストファミリーは、仕事で忙しい中でもたくさんの場所へ連れていってくれました。特に印象的だったのがスーパーマーケットでした。小さめと言っていたところでも中に入ればたくさんの商品が並んでいました。私は、レジに驚きました。商品を台に置いたら自動で動いてくれ、次の人と境をつけたいときは磁石のような棒を置いていました。商品をずっと持っている必要がなく、日本にもあればいいのにと思いました。どちらのホストファミリーも私に気遣い日本食を食べさせてくれてとてもうれしかったです。私はメキシコ料理など色んな料理を食べたのですが、外国の料理は日本と比べ何倍も味が濃く、辛い物やとても甘いものが多いということを知りました。日本人はお茶を普段飲む人が多いのですが、アメリカでは1位 水 2位 コーラ 3位 アイスティー のような飲み物を飲んでいました。水は、家に50本ほど買い置きしていました。
私は、普段水を飲まないので海外の水は不安でしたが、もうすっかり慣れてしまいました。私は、ホストファミリーと映画を見にいきました。でも、普通の映画館ではなく外にある映画館へ連れてってくれました。そこには、大きな何も書かれてない看板があり、暗くなるまではその前にある公園で子どもたちが遊んでいました。暗くなるにつれて車がたくさん入ってきて、椅子や車の上にみんな座っていました。大きな看板に映像が映り、私たちはライオンキングを日本公開前に見ることが出来ました。ホストファミリーによると外の映画館は山の近くにあり、普通の映画館より値段が安いらしく、日本にできたら面白いのにと感じました。
楽しい時はあっという間に過ぎ去り、日本ではできない体験をたくさんさせてもらいました。カンザスシティの人はみんなやさしく接してくれてとても充実した生活が送れました。家族、ホストファミリーや日米協会の皆さん、スーパーやいろんなところで関わったカンザスシティの方々、国際課の方々、ありがとうございました。またいつの日かカンザスシティを訪れることが将来の夢です。
