ニュージーランドでの新しい学び

僕は、初めての海外で不安なところもありましたが、充実した毎日を送ることができました。ニュージーランドは今冬なので、日本とは違いとても寒く感じました。それで僕は体調を崩しましたが、引率者の藤原さんと宇野さんがステイ先まで様子を見にきてくれました。、ホストファミリーや現地の人々が連絡を取り合ってくださり心強かったです。体調不良は二日程で良くなりました。
僕が滞在した家族は、とてもフレンドリーな方々でした。週末にはカイコウラというところに旅行に行きました。僕の趣味が釣りだということを知って釣りに連れていってくれました。魚はつれませんでしたが、海の景色は瀬戸内海とは違って雄大なものでした。日本の海では見ることが出来ないアシカが見えました。ホエールウォッチングもできるそうです。さらに動物園に行き、動物とふれあったり、キウイを見たりしました。

バディとは仲良く出来て一緒にゲームをしたり、マンガの話をしたり、日本がどんなところかを話したりしました。バディはサッカーのクラブチームに所属していて、週末には試合があり見に行きました。その試合には負けましたが、頑張っている姿を見ることが出来ました。学校の部活には所属していなくて、クラブチームに所属している人も多いようです。

私が訪問したロールストンカレッジでは、生徒がとてもフレンドリーでグータッチをしてくれてたり、日本語であいさつをしてくれることもありました。
僕も一緒に休み時間にバレーボールをして仲良くなったり、料理の時間にはクッキーを作りました。日本の学校との一番大きな違いは移動教室がメインだという事です。各科目でうける場所が変わっていました。

この体験を通して感じた事は、ニュージーランドの人々はとても親切で、街はきれいに整備されていて美しい自然が沢山あったということです。一緒に行った団員とも仲良くなる事が出来ました。バディが来るときは、日本の事や倉敷の事を出来るだけ沢山伝えたいと思います。
このような貴重な体験の機会を与えて頂いた倉敷市や担当してくださった方々に感謝し、もっとニュージーランドのことを知りたいと思いました。これから国際交流に関わることが出来るように勉強していきたいと思います。

New Learning in New Zealand

I was worried about my first time abroad, but I was able to live a fulfilling life. New Zealand is winter this year, so unlike Japan, it felt very cold. So I got sick, but the leaders, Mr. Fujiwara and Mr. Uno, came to see how I was doing. It was reassuring that the host family and local people kept in touch. My poor health improved in two days.

The family I stayed with was very friendly. On the weekend, I went on a trip to a place called Kaikoura. He found out that my hobby was fishing and took me fishing. One of them was tangued, but the sea view was magnificent, unlike the Seto Inland Sea. I saw sea lions that I couldn't see in the sea of Japan. You can also do whale watching. I also went to the zoo, interacted with animals, and saw kiwis.

I got along well with my buddy, played games together, talked about manga, and talked about what Japan was like. Buddy is on a soccer club team, and there was a game on the weekend, so I went to see it. I lost that match, but I was able to see them doing their best. It seems that there are many people who do not belong to school club activities and belong to club teams.

At Rolleston College, where I visited, the students were very friendly and gave me goo touches, and sometimes they even greeted me in Japanese.
We also played volleyball together during recess and made cookies during cooking time. The biggest difference from schools in Japan is that mobile classrooms are the main ones. The place where you can take it for each subject has changed.

What I felt through this experience was that the people of New Zealand were very kind, the city was well-maintained and there was a lot of beautiful nature. I was able to make friends with the members who went with me. When my buddy comes, I want to tell him as much as possible about Japan and Kurashiki.
I am grateful to Kurashiki City and the people in charge for giving me such a valuable opportunity to experience it, and I wanted to know more about New Zealand. I would like to study so that I can be involved in international exchange in the future.
